Girls will go on to the website with their parent(s) and log-in to the “Be a Reader” link using their parent’s e-mail address.  There will be an on-line learning activity for her to complete.  She and her parents then enter the e-mail addresses of friends and family with APO, FPO or state-side addresses.  The people on the list will be able to renew or order magazines on-line. 

We have been assured that those receiving e-mails will get the initial e-mail and it will be sent one additional time about 6 weeks later.  The e-mail addresses are not kept or distributed and they will not continue to receive solicitations.

Any Girl Scout Daisy through Ambassadors and her parents/guardians can participate.  Be sure that girls have parental permission to participate and all safety guidelines are followed. The Troop will receive $2.00 for every order placed on line. If a girl sends 12 or more e-mails she will receive special patch for participating in the on-line option.

USAGSO – NA will receive 47% of the cost of the subscription through any on-line sales.   This income is applied to girl grants for summer camp programs, GSUSA (like Destinations) and North Atlantic program events for girls and  adult training events.  USAGSO – NA gives the $2.00 for every on-line order plus pays for the girl gifts and on-line patches.  There is no cost to the OCs. The payment for the troops will be mailed to the OCs within two weeks of receipt of the  on-line order report at USAGSO-NA.  Girl patches and gifts will be sent as soon as they are available.
